這本書作者就是HBO自製影集Sex and the City的顧問及編劇，也因此，這本書毫無疑問的是紐約Sex and the City風格，試想Sex and the City裡面Carrie的文章集結成書，或是四人的聚會對話編成文字，大約就是這本書的內容風格，Sex and the City裡是女性的內心對話，這本書則是男性的自我表白。

不過老實說，就像很多的男女關係叢書一般，這類書籍的內容，很多就是同一套東東，然後把同樣的道理翻來覆去，從上從下從前從後，再從左從右，轉個說法再說一次，大約看了這本書的三分之一，也就大概知道整本書的內容了！當然，這本書是本很容易閱讀上手的書，辛辣的都會諷刺筆法是少不了的，輕輕鬆鬆就可以看完，還不時會發出會心一笑，看完之後，或許會有恍然大悟的些許領悟，但是要想知道實際的行動解決方案，恐怕是沒有的，或許可以打醒一些傻女孩的甜蜜泡泡夢想，但是女孩要如何追求幸福，還是要女性當自強～自求多福了！

有趣的是，這本書一開始就展現了高度幽默～

本書獻給天下所有可愛的女人們，她們的故事給了我們寫作本書的靈感。但願我們不需要再出第二本。

我覺得有趣的是～一般來說，應該沒有哪位作者會希望自己的寫作是僅此一本，而不管作者是出自真心，或出於趣味幽默效果，而寫下上述致詞，在這本書暢銷大賣之後，似乎離第二本的出版，也不遠了！
